March Christmas Block of the Month
This class is for beginners, but anyone is welcome to join us to make this Christmas sampler.
Begins Jan. 22, 2025 and goes through December 2025 to finish a Christmas themed quilt.
Meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
March Class meets on March 19, 2025
This month's featured blocks are Kris Kringle and Christmas Cards, each bringing a festive touch to your quilting projects.
Christmas Cards uses various triangle sizes to create a dynamic design, finished with a framed border to enhance its size and impact. Kris Kringle is a beautifully pieced block featuring corner triangles that create the illusion of curves.
Join us to learn new techniques, refine your piecing skills, and add these festive blocks to your collection!
Supplies:
Kris Kringle Fabric
Red (cap): 8" x 10" or larger
Green (background): 10" x 12" or larger
White or light gray (beard): 10" x 12" or larger
Pink (face): 4" x 6" or larger
Fabric of your choice (frame): four strips, 2" x 13"
Christmas Cards Fabric
Four 12" squares in different fabrics for the cards (reds, golds, and greens recommended)
12" square of light background fabric
Additional Supplies
Neutral-colored thread and matching bobbins
General sewing supplies
Rotary cutter
| Skill Level: | Beginner |
| Skill Details: | This Christmas Sampler is beginner friendly, but all skill levels are encouraged to join us. |
| Requirements: | You will need a sewing machine in good working order, good quality thread, a rotary cutter with a new blade and cutting mat, although the classroom has plenty of mats to use. Fabric scissors, thread snippers. Seam ripper, marking tools, straight pins or clips, and any other tool you like to use when sewing. |
