In this class, we’ll continue adding sashing and borders to complete your quilt top. You’ll also learn how to calculate the fabric and batting needed for your quilt backing and binding. Whether you’re finishing a sashed layout or an alternating block design, this session will guide you through the final steps of top construction and prepare you for the quilting process.

If Choosing the Sashed Layout (57” x 71”):
- 1 yard of fabric for sashing and first border (cut into 2.5” x WOF strips)
- Optional: If you’d like a different fabric for the first border, get ½ yard of each (½ yd for sashing, ½ yd for the border)
- 1¼ yards of fabric for the second (outer) border (6” wide)
- Optional: 1 fat quarter for cornerstones in the sashing
If Choosing the Alternating Block Layout (73” square):
